Tendon Release

In the wrist and hand, most tendons glide through small “tunnels.” If too much friction and inflammation builds up where the tendon enters the tunnel, sometimes it is necessary to perform a small surgery to open the tunnel to allow the tendon to glide more freely. This can be performed with a small incision with minimal anesthesia, much like procedures performed in the dentist’s office.
